Boarding & Training at Valley Ridge Farm, Inc

Stall Board with Turnout $1200 per month

At Valley Ridge Farm, Inc it is our philosophy that every horse needs a consistent program of training, lessons, or a combination of both to maintain health, rider safety and progress. Our boarding packages includes a $300 credit toward weekly lessons and/or training rides. We only accept horses that are boarding in our customized program. Further details for you and your horse will be discussed on a case by case basis.

Our program emphasizes consistency, sound horsemanship, and the overall well-being of every horse in our care. Horses receive daily stall cleaning, daily turnout, and are managed on a coordinated farrier, vaccination, and deworming schedule to ensure their long-term health and comfort. With an experienced professional trainer on site and regular access to clinics with outside clinicians, horses and riders benefit from knowledgeable oversight and quality training.

Our Facility Amenities Include

  • 12x12 matted stalls with heated automatic waterers

  • Additional attached annex barn stalls

  • Wash stall with hot and cold water

  • Indoor arena with kick boards for year-round riding

  • Large heated tack room and storage areas

  • Heated lounge overlooking the indoor arena

  • Owner living on property for consistent supervision

Training & Care Services:

  • $300 Credited toward minimum required training or lessons

  • Professional hunter/jumper training and instruction

  • Customized training programs tailored to horse and rider

  • Multiple blanket changes in winter and fly masks in summer

Frequently Asked Questions

How much turn out time does my horse receive?

In the winter months we turn horses out after the morning feed around 8 am.  Horses come in around 3pm for the evening feeding.  In the summer months horses are turned out in the evening around 6pm and come in around 8am for morning feed. 

What feeds are you using?

We use Tribute and Purina brands and coordinate with each owner if they request a specific brand. We use locally sourced hay from West Virginia.

Can I just board my horse?

We do not just board horses. At Valley Ridge Farm, Inc we believe that all horses need to be in a training program or at least in a weekly regular lesson program.

Do you allow outside trainers?

We do not allow outside trainers to teach or ride our clients’ horses.  We believe we have some of the best instructors in the area here at Valley Ridge Farm, Inc.  We do have special approved trainers in for special events and clinics.
